We picked up some Lucy Cousins picture books too. Maisy Goes on Vacation, Maisy, Charley, and the Wobbly Tooth, and Maisy Goes to Preschool are all precious little stories about every day things.

Here at St. Jude's School for Kids Who Want to Read Good and Do Other Things Good Too, we finished Story of the World Volume 1 some weeks ago. I told Edmund we were finished with history, and he exclaimed, "But we didn't do VIKINGS! You SAID we would do VIKINGS!"

We read The Sword in the Tree (Trophy Chapter Book) for Battle of the Books last year, so next we are getting Pirate's Promise and The Secret Valley (Trophy Chapter Book) (about the Gold Rush).
