Theme Thursday: Sky

These photos were taken with a Kodak point and shoot in June 2010, Branson, Missouri.  High up in the hills is the best way to view the epic beauty that accompanies an approaching thunderstorm.

Like an Escher drawing.

There's a sun up there somewhere.

Crazy bird, having the thrill of a lifetime.

  4. These are amazing! You know they remind me of being under the sheets on a rainy day, with siblings or my own babies, hiding from the storm, but enjoying it more than fearing it. Kicking up at the top sheet with feet and hands to make it billow and let in air and light.

I'm so sorry, I'm feeling really nostalgic right now.

  12. Wow. Those are really good pictures, Jessica. Were you there for the storm? Was it as massive as the cloudplay suggested?

    1. No, the storm was pretty unremarkable. Rain, thunder, I think it blew over pretty quickly and we had great weather the rest of the trip.

  14. Definitely a typical Missouri sky before a good old fashioned rainy day thunderstorm. Love those days (on the weekends especially and more so when we have actually had a break from inclimate weather. not like recent Missouri Madness!!!) Beautiful shots!
