1.  This lip gloss, color: Flirt by TooFaced, is my signature color.  I'd like to publicly thank St. Joseph for a miracle on his feast day in which the Chef found this lip gloss in the DRYER.  And it was OPEN.  And NONE of it got on ANY clothes.

2.  Three Minute Aussie Miracle

Today is the first day of spring.  We might be ice skating in the backyard again.  Today it is 19 degrees outside with a predicted high of 23 and an overnight low of 15.  This deep conditioner helps my hair not look like steel wool and not be stickin' to my face.

3. This Irish Soda Bread Recipe, which calls for one QUART of buttermilk and makes three loaves.  One for them and two for me.  A better name for it would be Buttery Quick Bread with Raisins That Will Rock Your World. It's a transcendental experience.

4.  While I'm raving about Irish things, am I the only one who adored the old Ballykissangel show that used to run on PBS?  Great theme music.  Colin Farrel's first acting experience.

Spoiler:  That priest plans to run away from his vocation to marry that agnostic barmaid at the end of season one.  But something tragic and smiting stops them.

5.  This guy:

Jill and I have watched it several times.  Look for all of the smiles!  And the music's pretty good too.

  1. I was on a swim team for 10 years, and even with a cap on, the chlorine does such a number on your hair! I can remember many, many 20-minute showers in our bathing suits, just to stay warm sometimes, when a bunch of us girls would pass that Aussie around! I have such a smell memory with it! And I LOVE Irish soda bread...off to check out your recipe!

  2. How do I keep forgetting about the 3 minute miracle? My frizz show needs that stuff and I always try something new, get discouraged, and forget to go back to basics.

That lip gloss looks gorgeous! I wish I could pull that color off, will have to look into other shades (and GO St. Joseph!)

And thanks for the vid, makes me want to be there even more!
